Wind of the sea, rain and poor light !
''stay in the car day'', by the puddles !
Great Black-backed Gull, 5AA1
Great Black-backed Gull, JP281
Herring Gull, adult winter, TU3.7
Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1st winter
Lot's of Gulls,
Mick found a Yellow-legged Gull, 1st winter, (to brief and to many Gulls for me to get on) !
We could see a distant DW in his car, spending a lot of time studying the roost
from the road just inside the barrier !
He had just called somebody back to join him, in the rain ? ? ? ? ) AA
This caught Mick's attention ?
Curiosity made us join DW who had found a Caspian Gull 3rd winter and an ''unidentified Gull''.
Later identified by MS as Audouin's Gull, 2nd winter.
Audouin's Gull, 2nd winter with Caspian Gull, 3rd winter.
Caspian Gull, 3rd winter
A very decent bird, let's hope it hangs around for a while.
ReplyDeleteGulls in their many forms are a real challenge - we have life a little easier (or less interesting!) here - we only really have three species in Australia and thats about it on the gull front!
