Lot's of activity at Dungeness today !
Lifeboat open day, lots of people, fishermen and families enjoying the day on the beach in superb nice weather.
AL and GP had joined us for the day.
It is high tide, no gulls, we had just sat down in a gap between fishermen, cameras still in bag, when this juvenile Kittiwake settled on the water in front of us, attracted in to a small dead fish, probably a fisherman's discard.
Stunning start to the day ! ! ! followed by an hour with very little to point the camera at
We enjoyed the spectacular sight of 100's of Sand Martin gather above us before they moved south, out to sea.
Many Sandwich and Common Terns
An Artic Skua chasing Terns, and the distant Gannet all in excellent light condition !
