North Norfolk Coast, 3rd September, 2011

Got started at the usual 05.00 hours, picked up M.S. and Kevin

Weather, reasonable start to the day, looked promising but very overcast and cloudy from midday onwards.

Arrived at Salthouse on the north Norfolk coast at 07.45 hours

Bad light and distant birds made photography difficult, we saw

Green Sandpipers, 2 flew over
Goldfinches
Meadow Pipit
Wheatear, 2
Grey Heron


Black-headed Gull
Black-headed Gull

Wheatear

After about an hour we moved to Cley next the Sea, about 2 miles west

here, a full circuit of the reserve and visited all hides seeing

Little Stint, 3
Curlew Sandpiper, 7
Green Sandpiper, 1
Common Sandpiper, 1
Dunlin, 70 +
Ruff, 7 +
Black-tailed Godwit
Curlew
Lapwing
Ringed Plover

Next stop, Titchwell RSPB.
This is where I started bird watching, now is probably my most disliked bird watching location.

We are staying the night !    accommodation !    not good this night !
but it was a pretty good day !
